A queer Berlin walking tour

Shared Threads | Walking Tour

After agreat screening and an open conversation about what it means to be Israeli, Jewish, and queer, it’s time to step off the screen and straight onto the sidewalks where it all began. Truth is, today’s Berlin didn’t reinvent the wheel; even a century ago, this city was buzzing and dancing around these exact connections.

We invite you to join us for a vibrant pride tour through Berlin’s most colorful and free-spirited streets. We’ll revisit the milestones where LGBTQ+ history was made, get to know the fascinating Jewish figures who shaped it, and discover together how the layers of this city speak to our lives here and now at eye level, with plenty of fun, and in a completely open atmosphere.

Who’s leading the way?

The tour will be led by Shai, a longtime Israeli-Berliner, experienced tour guide, part of the ICE family, and the person behind „Berlin by Shai.“  For Shai, this isn’t just another dry history lesson; it’s an opportunity to bring the most captivating stories of the past to life with his signature energy. As someone who lives and breathes this city, Shai will take us on a breezy, engaging journey following the people, the struggles, and the moments that turned Berlin into the world capital of freedom.
